(3) RESOURCE CENTER OPEN HOUSE, FRIDAY, JUNE 5. The BGLTSA Resource
Center is pleased to invite all Caucus members and their guests, as well
as graduating students, to an Open House from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday,
June 5. Visit the nerve center of H-R's vibrant GLBT community, and
talk with the student coordinators. The Resource Center is in the
basement of Holworthy Hall, in the Old Yard near the Science Center gate.
(4) G/L/B/T PARTY FOR ALL REUNION CLASSES, FRIDAY, JUNE 5. Party
honoring members of all reunion classes, especially the 25th, 35th, 40th

HARVARD GAY AND LESBIAN CAUCUS SPRING SOIREE Saturday April 18,

The Harvard Gay and Lesbian Caucus cordially invites you to its third

The Boston Gay Men's Chorus is performing in Sanders Theatre April 9.
This marks the first time the Chorus will be heard in a mainstage
performance at Harvard. Adding to this excitement is the realization
that we'll be performing in the midst of the Queer Harvard month.

Chorus will sing two performances of its spring concert, NakedMan on Saturday,
March 28 at 8:00 pm at Jordan Hall and on Thursday, April 9 at 8:00 pm
at Sanders Theatre in Harvard Square. Under the leadership of its new Music
Director Reuben M. Reynolds, III, the 120-voice Chorus will perform the
New England premiere of the powerful choral song cycle NakedMan, as well
as works by Ron Nelson, Pablo Casals and Percy Grainger. The April 9th
performance marks the BGMC's first performance at historic Sanders Theatre.

----- GRADUATE STUDENT SOCIAL MIXER - DECEMBER 4, 8 PM TO 10 PM. All
members of Harvard's LBGT community, and their friends, are encouraged
to attend GSAS social mixers, which are held in Dudley House (Lehman Hall)
in the Yard, in the Graduate Student Lounge, on the right as you go up
the stairs. Social mixers are held on the first Thursday of every
month.

----- DAVE PALLONE - "WHO'S REALLY ON FIRST?" - OCTOBER 22, 7:30 PM.
Former
National League Umpire Dave Pallone will speak at Harvard on Wednesday,
October 22, 1997, at 7:30 p.m. The talk will be held in Askwith Lecture
Hall of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, in Longfellow Hall, on
Appian Way (which runs between Brattle and Garden Streets), Harvard Square,
Cambridge, and will be followed by a reception. Free and open to
the public. The talk is co-sponsored by the Caucus and the GLBT&Q
Community at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. It is supported
by a grant from The Open Gate - a Fund for Gay and Lesbian Life at Harvard
University. Dave Pallone was a National League Umpire for ten years
and is the author of Behind the Mask: My Double Life in Baseball.
He attracted national attention when Pete Rose shoved him in a 1988 Mets-Reds
game, igniting one of the most controversial incidents in baseball history.
Pallone will give a revealing look at baseball from two distinct perspectives:
as the man in blue, cursed by fans and players alike; and as a gay man
at the heart of America's very straight National Pastime. His acclaimed
program is brought to universities and corporations all over the country.

Gingrich, field consultant and spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign,
will deliver a speech entitled "On the Road to Equality" at 6:00 pm, Thursday,
October 16 in the ARCO Forum at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School
of Government, 79 JFK Street, Cambridge. The event is sponsored by

University Arts Committee on AIDS offered a full schedule of events for

communities, The Fourth Annual GospelFest for AIDS (sponsored in part by
The Open Gate), a chamber music concert, and performances at American Repertory

the annual Burton Ross Pierce lecture. Reverend Gomes is Plummer Professor
of Christian Morals and Minister in Memorial Church at Harvard University
and author of the acclaimed new book, The Good Book, Reading the Bible

AIDS Pledge Walk - Sunday, June 2, 1996, a Caucus team will participate
in the annual AIDS/HIV fund raising walk - an inspiring 6.3 mile/10 kilometer
walk through Boston and Brookline ending at the Hatch Shell on the Charles
River.

HIV/AIDS AMONG WOMEN - Monday, April 15, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Room
G-2, Kresge Building, Harvard School of Public Health, 677 Huntington Ave.,
Boston. Epidemiologist Dr. Susan Chu will speak on HIV/AIDS among lesbian
and bisexual women and on woman-to-woman transmission of the virus. Dr.
Chu, formerly with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta,
headed up the Centers' work on AIDS among lesbians and bisexual women.
Also speaking will be Harvard researcher Trish Case, who will present new
data from the national Nurses Health Study on the health status of lesbian
and bisexual women. Free and open to the public.

Author and poet Wayne Koestenbaum will read from and discuss his
major books, "The Queen's Throat: Opera, Homosexuality, and the Mystery
of Desire" (1993) and "Jackie Under My Skin: Interpreting an Icon" (1995).

all. Koestenbaum is a 1980 graduate of Harvard College and received his
Ph.D. from Princeton in 1988. He is currently an Associate Professor of
English at Yale. His talk will focus on the importance of female icons

Lee Edelman, author of the book, "Homographesis: Essays in Gay Literary
and Cultural Theory." Henry Rubin, of Brandeis, will speak on the transgendered

BGLAD Week 1995 - In 1995, Harvard's Bisexual Gay and Lesbian Awareness
Days were held on April 3-8. Student groups and the Caucus sponsored a
